In today's busy and stressful world, there is something that utterly makes some people experience a living hell as the moon rises. Around 45% of adults will make their partners occasionally more familiar with snoring and a percentage of 25 are categorized as habitual snorers. When it comes to who is more likely to snore - men or women, the balance renders men as the winners. People, who are also having problems with their weight and having certain vices, will develop snoring without exception. In addition, as people grow older, the chances that they will snore tremendously increase.

Usually there will be a greater effort for people to pull out when breathing if they will be confronted with a blocked or a stuffy nose. What happens inside the human body, is that a vacuum is created in the throat which will eventually have the floppy tissues of the throat pulled together. This is the action that will then cause the snoring to appear.

In time the person who is snoring will definitely make his partner feel very bad, because he or she will not be able to sleep well and in many cases there have been some dramatic changes in the life of the couple. There have been reported numerous cases in which the couples divorced because of this simple and laughable problem for many others who do not really know what snoring is all about and what its effects can turn to in time. If you will decide to sleep on your back, then you will definitely have your snoring condition worsened.

Usually, snoring will occur in the following scenarios:
  • When you have a cold
  • If you have asthma
  • nasal congestion
  • If you have polyps
  • sinus infection
  • Due to obstructed nasal ways
  • In the hay fever season
  • Due to allergic rhinitis

The reasons that cause snoring

Always remember that if you are dealing with snoring, you are actually dealing with having your nasal airways obstructed. This can be very dangerous and in some cases it can be life threatening, as many patients will have their breathing capacity reduced.

Thus, when someone will experience this, their bodies will gasp for air as much as they can and as an end result to this effort, the throat will begin to vibrate, which yes, it means that the person will snore. If you want to avoid snoring, you should always ensure that your sinus passages are not obstructed by anything. Also, if you have had just enough of not being able to get proper sleep and you have been waking up really tired in the morning, just get yourself checked out. Maybe you are dealing with a case of sinusitis that hasn't been diagnosed yet.

Another reason for your snoring may be the fact that you are a heavy drinker, which will in time weaken your muscle tone (throat and tongue).
