First, let me remind you that snoring is generated by the vibration of back throat tissues. So it is quite understandable why an overweight individual suffers from snoring. The excess fat is building up in his throat area making it difficult for air to pass through the throat. This obstruction causes tissues to vibrate and generate the all too familiar sound of snoring.
Besides causing snoring, being overweight is generally a bad idea. Above average BMI (Body Mass Index) has been proven to cause even greater health risks among them: heart attacks, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and shortness of breath. So you can see how losing weight could be a good idea without even mentioning snoring problems.
